A Sweet Weekend

Books and coffee with my favorite little guy.

He wasn't too entirely sure about his drink, but the chocolate chip cookie was definitely a big hit.

Noah: "Stop!  Mama, she's squishing me!"

Kathrynne:  "No, I'm not!  I'm just kissing him!  See, Mama?"

Noah:  "Well, alright."

Not Complete, But Progress

All of the wires are hidden, and I have the top shelf styled.  The shelf already looks fabulous, and Blair hasn't even made the doors yet.  Once he does, we'll have somewhere to stash our DVDs out of sight (keeping everything looking sleek and uncluttered).  I don't know if you can really tell in the top photo, but I tried out a paint color.  I had a coupon for a free sample of Valspar, so I took a chance on a golden yellow.  Beautiful color, but we decided it would be overpowering in the den.  But I really like it as a color, so, a la Pinterest, I took some of it and poured it into a glass vase to have just as an accent color (check out the second picture).  We're going to go with a really, really light blue or green (we think), but since I can't make up my mind, the den will probably have paint patches on it for a while.  

Blair has done such a great job on this piece, and I can't wait for it to be done so I can show you the finished product.

Five Months Old!

Five Months!  Already!  I can't believe it.  She's wonderfully funny and cute.  She loves to eat and watch her brother play.  She amazes us each and every day with how much she is learning and growing.  We love you, Katy Rynne Jane!
