It rained.  Pretty much the entire time we were there.

Fortunately, I'm a rainy day kind of person, so it didn't stop me one bit.

I think my favorite part of our little trip was visiting the Museum of Appalachia.

Beautiful land.  Beautiful animals.  Beautiful history.

Ah...Vacation!::Part 2

The rare joy of a date night, or two, is one of the perks of staying with grandparents.

Nothing fancy, but a trip to a Humanity ReStore and dinner at Outback makes for a great evening for us!

We were in town for Independence Day, and the little lady wasn't too impressed with our matching "Fourth of July" shirts.  I happened to think we were super cute.

It rained, so there weren't any fireworks, but we did get to hear some great music on TV.

Thanks to some MiMom intervention, we finally got at least a half smile.

Oh.  And there was some more rain.

Ah...Vacation!::Part 1

We had been planning our trip to Knoxville for several months, and when the time came to finally go, we were so excited!  This can clearly be seen on Miss KatyRynne's face.

Although the drive is long (especially with a little one who keeps asking "Are we at vacation?"), the scenery is beautiful.

We got there in time for supper, and then there was much crawling around with Grandaddy.

We were really looking forward to our week!
