About a year ago, I decided that Noah was ready to have his bed moved off of the floor and placed on a frame. However, the bed I really liked was really expensive, so Blair actually designed this bed himself based on a picture I showed him from West Elm's website. He built the entire frame from ash, and the headboard is a mix of ash, walnut, and cedar.
We live in a 1960's house with very little storage space, so Blair made sure he designed it tall enough for things to fit underneath. That green you see down there is the train table we made him for Christmas. Blair's guitar case also sits under the bed. A couple of weeks ago, I took off the safety rail, and so far we haven't had any falls.
Noah loves it, and, as usual, I'm super proud of the awesome work Blair did.
It's a terrific bed and stylish, too! Little Man will be able to use it until he leaves home...who knows, he may take it with him?!
