From this:

To this:

I have wanted that chair in that corner since we moved in, and I finally moved it.  I think it makes the room feel larger and more open as well.  Mr. Chadwick just thinks I move things around too much.  Does it work?  What do you think?

  1. I like it. I also like to rearrange. Makes things feel new and exciting.

  2. I like it! It does open up the room a LOT. But Blair is right, it does need some kind of lighting in the corner because it gets dark at night.

  3. The chair balances with the fireplace better, makes the area look home-y-er, defines play area from conversation grouping... in other words, I really like it! Some type floor/directional lamp behind the chair in the corner would = perfect in my opinion. (Sarah recently brought one here that she's culled from moving stuff to St.L... don't know why - I think it's a handy-dandy lamp. Wish I could get it to you, if you'd want it - it's black, not new and probably from Target, but fits in my vision for your space - and it's free!):-)
